Whew, this one left me kind of grossed out…but, then again…hmmm, I wonder…ahhhh!, get ahold of yourself spiNaLpUppEt!–this ain’t a freaky porno! The amorous arachnids are in fact of the metaphorical variety, visual and visceral reminders of the dangers of unprotected sex. Hubba hubba…

The first ad showcases a seductive strumpet and her hairy date, who is apparently all hands. In the second, a ‘playa’ (as the kids would call him nowadays) is in the throes of a sweaty lust, and unaware that the hot babe he picked up is just waiting to dig her claws into him and consummate a poisonous relationship…

Strange bedfellows indeed! But the point is clear.

These types campaigns are always controversial, and serve as a good starting point for a discussion on the role of shock value in public service ads….

But all I know is that this picture is definitely worth 10,000 words, and when your old boy spiNaLpUppEt hits up the meat markets this weekend, he’ll be sure to double bag!
