Here's my opinion.

Technique shouldn't be compared to people like 50 cent, or any commercial rappers really. There's an intellectual foundation in Techniques lyrics that 50 cent doesn't have, and most people won't grasp unless it's explained to them. The content of a 50 cent track never steps outside the dimensions of what sells records. Technique goes wherever he wants, not just hotel rooms full of bitches, surviving a ridiculous number of gunshots, and non stop self promotion. So that being said, people like 50 cent will always be in the spotlight, because most of the consumer population is too simple minded to notice how empty all his shit really is.

I've got respect for Technique, he's a beast with lyrics, and he deserves way more credit than he receives, but he's not a sell-out, so his credit will never stretch beyond a small percentage of the rap fans in North America.

I've got another person to add to your lists of Dark Rappers and Darkest Tracks.

- Brotha Lynch -

One of the sickest, rawest, craziest, most creative, and original mc's ever. His lyrics are so incredibly clever, and at the same time, unbelievably harsh. It's a beautiful thing in my opinion.

If you haven't studied his music in detail, then you don't know what you're missing. On a final note: If you don't accept the fact that he's in the top ten greatest of all time list, then in all honesty you don't really understand, or appreciate real rap. Just my opinion, as well as an absolute fact...
