Stairway to Heaven Backwards: A Subliminal Satanic Message?

“Led Zeppliminal: Stairway to Hell”

This one is an oldie but a goodie.

Led Zep’s Stairway to Heaven has been a core staple of classic rock for decades. The song and its famous solo frequently tops all-time popularity lists.

One day, someone discovered that a reversed portion of the song contained an apparently satanic message! If true, then it would be an example of backmasking, i.e. deliberately embedding a reversed message. However, the other option is far more likely–that the whole thing is just a conincidence.

Zeppelin’s guitarist Jimmy Page is a known fan of the occult and he had a strong interest in the writings of Alestair Crowley, so many feel the creepy and cryptic words are legit…What do you think?
